We accept some QMS standards as alternatives to ISO 9001. If you are auditing to a standard other than ISO 9001, see this list to check if it is an acceptable alternative.

Who this scheme is intended for:
- Quality management system auditors, such as those employed by third-party certification bodies/registrars or by purchasing organisations (second-party auditors)
- Quality management practitioners, such as quality management consultants, quality managers and third-party certification managers
- Employees conducting quality management system audits within their own organisations (internal audits).
Completed an IRCA-certified QMS course?
If you have completed an IRCA-certified QMS course, record your certificate with us and apply to become an IRCA member.
All current IRCA Certificated QMS auditors are required to attend IRCA Certified ISO 9001:2015 Transition Training in order to maintain their certification.
ISO 14001 EMS Course in Pakistan
The ISO 14001 standard is a structure for Environmental Management that the International Organization for Standardization has issued in Sept 1996 and revised on 15th November 2004. The standard is based on the principles of Continual Improvement in Environmental Performance of a company’s environmental aspects. The standard has utilized the TQM concept of Plan-Do-Check-Act, thus causing improvement. It contains a set of requirements that a company has to address and implement in its activities. The basic purpose is to continually improve its environmental performance. The standard also makes a clear requirement that the industry and the people within it shall be committed towards prevention of pollution.
LEARNING OBJECTIVE:
This IRCA approved course aims to provide the participants with the opportunity to learn about the subject of auditing of environmental management systems, specifically those based on the ISO 14000 families of international standards.
At the end of the course participants should be able to:
- Purpose of an Environmental Management System.
- Eight principles of Environmental Management.
- Purpose, content and interrelationship of ISO14000, ISO14001, ISO14004 and ISO19011.
- Interpretation of the requirements of ISO14001 in the context of an audit.
- Roles and responsibilities of auditors and lead auditors.
- Planning and conducting an audit in accordance with ISO19011.
- Reporting the audit, including writing valid, factual and value-adding non-conformity reports,
- Undertaking audit follow-up activities, including evaluating the effectiveness of corrective action.
- Understanding the role of Accreditation Bodies, Certification Bodies, IRCA.

Scheme-specific requirements
As an OH&S management systems auditor you will need to demonstrate that you:
- understand and can use OH&S management methods and techniques that enable you to examine OH&S management systems, and to generate appropriate audit findings and conclusions
- possess OH&S technical knowledge, skills and experience such as the management of risk; health and safety activities in the workplace, including chemical/physical/biological hazards; legal and organisational factors within the country or area of operation; etc.
- have relevant work experience. This could involve:
- full-time role as manager, supervisor, engineer or technician, involved in technical aspects of facility operation in compliance with OH&S regulations
- implementation and maintenance of OH&S or integrated management systems involving health and safety compliance management
- monitoring compliance with health and safety law and regulation, on behalf of a regulating body
- auditing OH&S management systems on behalf of an accredited certification body
- assessment of supplier probity against an acceptable OH&S management system standard on behalf of an employing organisation - provision of appropriate consultancy services involving OH&S
- full-time role relating to the performance of OH&S risk assessment and management of safety audits of all types (not necessarily system audits).

- OH&S professionals intending to demonstrate competence in audit management performance
- Management systems auditors (e.g. quality, environmental, IT) who possess a considerable understanding and knowledge of OH&S issues, and are able to demonstrate they are competent to participate in OH&S or integrated management
- OH&S management system auditors who wish to have their competence as auditors recognised
